Warm Up
Warm Up begins 35 minutes prior to performance time – The warm-up schedule is in your portal. We will stay on time in the practice area and any team not following the schedule or staff instructions will receive a Sportsmanship penalty. We start with the Check-In Station (5 minutes), a 24’ x 42’ stretch/stunt mat (10 minutes), a 6’ x 84’ tumble strip (5 minutes), and then a 54’ x 42’ full foam floor (5 minutes), then a hold On Deck (10 minutes) before performance. Coaches, please report to music and the coach’s area when your team is On-Deck – our staff will be there to escort your team on the floor.
Water
We encourage participants to have a personal water bottle with them for warm-up and with them after their performance. To keep the warmup room clean and dry we ask that they have a secure lid.
#CheerKind
The Spirit Network will be implementing our CheerKind Policy to ensure a positive environment for the participants and teams. If there are ANY profanities used in the warm-up room or at the production riser that individual will be removed, no questions asked or heard, from the venue. Also, there will be a Sportsmanship Penalty given to that team.
Spotting
Spotting is allowed for your own teams. Individuals must be designated as spotters and not wearing a team uniform. Refer to the Spotters Policy on our website. Also, please be sure to remove credentials, hats and any other apparel that may inhibit the ability to spot your team. Appropriate athletic footwear is required on the mat. No heels or shoes with wheels.
Medical Care
Medical Care will be on-site throughout the day if there are any injuries – please notify one of our staff that will radio for your assistance. First Aid in the practice room will be clearly posted. Ice will be available.
Performance
Teams will perform and exit off the performance floor to meet the Performance Judge and their coaching staff. The performance surface is a 54' x 42’ foam floor on ground level.
Music
The music table will be located on the judges riser. Coaches can access the music table as the team waits On-Deck. Music stations in practice and for competition will accommodate an aux cord or USB stick. If using an iPhone please be sure to have the appropriate adapter and it is on airplane mode so as not to interrupt your performance with text or phone sounds along with the screen settings not to stop the music during the performance.
Coaches Viewing
Coaches may sit in front of the stage in the Coaches Area. Children will not be allowed in the Warmup area or in front of the performance floor so please make other arrangements. Other competing teams will not be on the floor during competition.
